Zeta Sky Security Brief: Patch Released to Fix Dangerous Bug in Windows 10

Our priority is educating and making the community aware of cybersecurity events that may impact a business organization. As part of this ongoing effort, we want to update you on the latest development if you have not already seen it in the news.

Microsoft and NSA confirmed that there was a dangerous bug in the Windows 10 so severe it could compromise government systems, critical functions. Imagine a malicious software allowed to install or attack your computer because this flaw allowed it. That’s exactly what NSA disclosed to Microsoft recently. They identified that there is a vulnerability in Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 that would allow, for example, a ransomware program to run because the vulnerable computer would think it is coming from a trusted source.

At this time NSA advised they have not seen any attackers actively exploiting this flaw but it will be only a matter of time. Zeta Sky recommends highly to patch your Windows computers and servers with the latest update so that this bug will be fixed.
